On Friday, April 10, 2009, our country lost 5 of our brave soldiers fighting for our freedom in Iraq. Among those soldiers was my neighbor, Staff Sergeant Bryan E. Hall,32 of Elk Grove. While doing a regular day of patrol his military vehicle was hit by a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment based out of Fort Carson, Colorado.
His family thanks everyone for their prayers and support.
His family remaining are both parents, a sister, a wife, and 2 year old daughter.
Also killed in the attack were Staff Sgt. Gary L. Woods Jr., 24, of Lebanon Junction, Ky; Sgt. Edward W. Forrest Jr., 25, of St. Louis, Mo; Cpl. Jason G. Pautsch, 20, of Davenport, Iowa; and PV2 Bryce E. Gautier, 22, of Cypress, Calif.
2 back at ya:
Hi there! This is the first time I've seen your blog (from apostolicbloggers). Anyway, so sad to hear about your neighbor, and the others who were killed in Iraq. My husband is in the US military, so it always breaks my heart when I hear of other's losing their family members.
God bless

So sad! Tragic. I hate cowardly indescriminate warfare (ied's). I'm so thankful for our servicemen and their incredible sacrifice. Thanks Ayla.
